Biography

Lisa Snook is a British born sculptor based in Suffolk and a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors.  A graduate of Chelsea College of Art and Goldsmiths College, she has worked as a sculptor for over thirty years.  Working in clay, porcelain, bronze and found objects, her practice explores how the body holds memory, giving physical form to feeling.  Her training in Art Psychotherapy , including am MA completed in 2018, has deepened her interest in the relationship between the body and psychological experience.  

Snook has exhibited nationally and internationally, with work held in public and private collections, and has been featured in The Financial Times, The Independent on Sunday, and Culture24.   In 2023, her sculpture The Limits of Anguish won the 10,000Euro FBZ award in Germany, a prize recognising the interplay between mental health and creative discourse.  She is aslo the founder and curator of Pink Noise, a Suffolk based exhibition platform for women artists.
